Chief Dye’s policing philosophy emphasizes problem solving, focused on quality of life, through Community Policing, effective use of technology, and proactive enforcement programs. His track record of creating initiatives that focus on all aspects of the community—from youth to seniors—has proven to build trust with the community. Chief Dye will also be a physical fixture in the community outside of the office as he enjoys speaking to local civic organizations, getting to know residents, and working alongside his officers. |

Honoring Black Ball Through Baseball Board Game Simulation

Bob May, an author, speaker and baseball historian. Live in Rockwall Texas. For the last five years given talks in six states Honoring Black Ball (Negro League Baseball). Two books, The Best Season-The First Ninety games and The Best Season-The Challenging Finish honors the great players of the Negro Leagues in a very unique way. Using baseball game simulation, twenty-one stars of the Negro Leagues (nineteen in the National Baseball Hall of Fame) play a full season of baseball against 375 great Major League ballplayers from 1881 – 1987 (200+ in HOF). Baseball talk will focus on seventeen Hall of Fame baseball players born in Texas. Who are they? When were they born? Where? Who did they play for? When did they play? What made them so special?
