You are invited to participate in the Friends of the Allen Public Library Candidate Forum which is co-sponsored by the Allen Sunrise Rotary and Allen Rotary Clubs.  Starting at 6:30 pm on Monday April 18th, the Allen ISD School Board Candidate participants will answer questions sourced from the community.  Following the School Board Candidates, City Council Candidate participants will also answer community sourced questions.  This event provides a great opportunity for Allen voters to get to know their future community leadership and better inform their voting decisions for the May 7th Election.
Allen High School juniors may now apply to attend the 2022 Camp RYLA Leadership Camp.  (RYLA stands for Rotary Youth Leadership Awards). The scholarship camp will be held on May 29 – June 3, 2022.

The Allen Rotary Club and the Sunrise Club of Allen each sponsor two campers for the annual leadership camp, which is held at Camp Hoblezel in Midlothian.  Interested high school juniors are encouraged to review the RYLA Leadership Camp brochure and then complete a RYLA Application. The camp is open to all Allen juniors.

Contact Apiwan Born (apiwanborn@gmail.com)  or Kelly Juntunen (kelly.juntunen@allenisd.org) for more information. Applications should be returned by email to Apiwan Born, or Kelly Juntunen in the Allen High School Main Office.

Due to the pandemic, camp was cancelled for the summer of 2021 and the four camp scholarship recipients were able to participate in an online leadership program.  The 4-day camp will be held in May and June 2022 with additional safety precautions that are explained in the camp brochure.

Interviews for the four scholarship positions will be held in late March.
